Today, just like in times past, it is a common notion that
children are what makes us a family. Raising children is not easy. It
takes effort, time, and money. It is best to only have the number of
children, that you can reasonably support and give a good future and
upbringing.
The security of a family does not depend solely on the number of
children. Rather, children who are well brought up and have
praiseworthy values are the true future of a family. Many think that
“family planning” means limiting the number of children – this
is not so. It simply refers to the planning of when to have children,
and how many children you want
to have. Those couples who plan their families experience an enhanced
sex life.
Women who are worried that each
instance of sexual intercourse may lead to pregnancy may experience
loss of sexual desire. This can lead to problems within a family.
Women in times past – and still
today – used primitive contraceptive means, and attempted to
provoke abortions themselves. Such primitive methods may cause
massive health problems, and can be life-threatening. Through family
planning, you can ensure that you only have the children you truly
want, and in addition
be on the road to a good and healthy sex life. Isn't that worth
trying for? If decide to plan your family, how should you go about
it?

Interpretive
Assistance
If you don't speak or understand
Danish, you may need interpretive assistance when you consult with
the doctor. Interpretive assistance for doctor's appointments is a
free service.
Your doctor books the interpreter. When
you book a time slot for your doctor's appointment, remember to tell
them that you will require interpretive assistance. Both the doctor
and the interpreter are bound by confidentiality agreements.
Advice on Contraception
Free counselling on contraception is available to everyone through
the family doctor, or through one of the birth control clinics.
Municipal authorities are responsible for ensuring that birth control
advice is available to all.
Some regions of the country have dedicated birth control clinics,
while others offer advice from the hospitals. The social services
centre (socialcenter) at your municipal authority can inform you of
the location and office hours of the nearest birth control clinic. If
